Velocity, trigger pull, barrel and choke

Firearm measuring

We measure projectile velocity, trigger pull, the barrel and chamber, and the choke constriction, so you have reliable data about your firearm.

Precise data instead of estimates

Measuring gives concrete values for how a firearm performs and its condition. The results help with choosing ammunition, assessing wear, planning service and checking a firearm after repair or modification.

What we measure

  • Projectile velocity, measured with a chronograph.

  • Trigger pull, that is, the force needed to release the trigger.

  • Dimensions and wear of the barrel, bore and chamber.

  • Barrel and choke constriction on shotguns.

Projectile velocity

We measure velocity with a radar chronograph for every shot in a series. You get the average, highest and lowest velocity, the spread and the standard deviation of the series.

Trigger pull

We measure trigger pull with a digital gauge while the firearm is secured in a service stand, so the result is repeatable and comparable after adjustment.

Who the service is for

For owners of air weapons who want to check velocity and consistency, sport shooters adjusting their equipment, and hunters who want to know the condition of the barrel and choke before the season.

In your enquiry, state which measurement you need, as well as the model and calibre of the firearm. For velocity measurement, bring the ammunition or pellets you normally use. Bring the firearm unloaded, with its firearms licence where one is required.
