First visit to the range

Going to a range for the first time? Here is how to book a session, choose a package, go through the safety briefing and what arriving at Venari in Subotica is like.

If you have never shot before, a first visit to the range can feel like a big step. In practice it is simple: arranging it in advance is enough, and the rest of the process comes with clear instructions from the staff. This guide explains what a first visit to the Venari range in Subotica looks like, from booking to the first shot.

1. Book a session in advance

On the Booking page, choose a service and your preferred slot, then send the request. Confirm it through the link in the email and wait for the session confirmation before setting off. When booking, be sure to say that you are coming for the first time, so that we can adapt the session to your experience.

2. Choose a package

For beginners the most practical option is the shooting packages, because in a single session you get to know several types of firearms in different calibres, from a small-bore pistol to a shotgun, with a predetermined number of rounds.

  • Package 2 - CZ (6,200 RSD per person): CZ Brno Grand (.22 LR), CZ P10F (9 x 19 mm), CZ Scorpion Evo 3 (9 x 19 mm) and CZ 612 Home Defense (12/70).
  • Package 1 (8,100 RSD per person): Smith & Wesson 422 (.22 LR), Glock 17 Gen. 5 (9 x 19 mm), Zastava PAP-G (7.62 x 39 mm) and Benelli M1 (12/70).

Basic instruction for beginners is free. If you want to shoot a particular model, see the firearms on offer and state it when booking so that we can check availability.

3. Arrive a few minutes early

Before shooting begins you go through short safety instructions. So arrive a few minutes early, so that you are not rushed. The range is at Aleksandrovi salaši 16 in Subotica and is open every day from 9 am to 9 pm.

4. Follow the staff's instructions

Safety is the foundation of every session. The most important rules are simple:

  • treat every firearm as if it were loaded,
  • always point the muzzle in a safe direction and keep your finger off the trigger until you are shooting at the target,
  • handle firearms only in the designated place and when permitted,
  • use the prescribed protective equipment,
  • on the cease-fire command, stop immediately and wait for instructions.

If anything is unclear, stop and ask. Read the complete rules on the Safety rules page.

5. Payment on site

On site you can pay in cash or with DinaCard, Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay cards.

What comes after the first session

After your first visit you can continue with regular training or try a more dynamic discipline such as Compak Sporting. And if you want to bring someone along next time, a gift voucher is a good way to give them the same experience.
